Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Go mobile application (the "App", "we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use it. We have designed the App to work without an account, and we do not ask you for personal information to play.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
We do not require you to create an account, sign in, or submit any personal information to play the App. If you contact us by email, we will receive the content of your message and your email address, which we use only to respond to you.
Information stored on your device
The App saves your preferences and progress locally on your device using on-device storage. This information does not leave your device and is not transmitted to us. It includes:
- Unlocked levels and your win/loss statistics;
- Your settings, such as theme, board colour, stone style and sound;
- A saved game in progress, so you can continue where you left off;
- A local launch counter used to decide when to show ads.
You can clear this information at any time by deleting the App from your device.
Information collected automatically
We do not use our own analytics or tracking. However, the advertising provider integrated in the App (Google AdMob) may automatically collect certain information as described in the next section.
2. Advertising
The App is supported by advertising served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To display ads, Google and its partners may collect and process information such as:
- Device identifiers, including the advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS and the Advertising ID on Android);
- IP address and an approximate, non-precise location derived from it;
- Device and app information (model, operating system, app version);
- Ad interaction data, such as impressions and clicks.
This information is used to provide, measure and improve advertising, and may be used for personalised ads where you have consented. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policies. For more information, please see:
On iOS, the App asks for your permission before using your advertising identifier to track you across apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant. On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
3. How We Use Information
- To operate the game and remember your progress and settings;
- To display advertising that keeps the App free to play;
- To respond to your questions or support requests;
- To maintain the security and integrity of the App.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only with:
- Advertising partners such as Google AdMob, as described above;
- Platform providers (Apple App Store, Google Play) as required for distribution and payments;
- Legal authorities where we are required to do so by law.
5. Data Retention
Game data stored on your device is retained until you delete the App or clear its data. Information handled by advertising partners is retained according to their own policies. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to or opt out of certain processing. Because we do not collect personal data ourselves, most of these requests relate to our advertising partner and can be exercised through your device's ad settings and Google's controls. You may also contact us using the details below.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Transfers
Our advertising partner may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used to protect the data in accordance with applicable law.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The App and this website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
